Botanical name: Serissa japonica
This bonsai tree is called the Tree of a Thousand Stars because of its many small white trumpet shaped blossoms. It is also known as the Flowering White Serissa. It boasts spoon-shaped shiny green leaves and is trained in the tiered layered style. The curved trunk adds to the appeal of this beautiful indoor bonsai tree. The leaves on this tree will grow in for a full and lush look.
During the summer you can place this tree outside to cut back on maintenance and provide ideal conditions. Bonsai trees should never be placed in full sun, and should be place in partly shady area. In the winter they need to be brought inside once the temperatures start dropping below 50 degrees. Like most other tropical bonsai it's very important to water daily.
