Dionaea muscipula
Venus flytrap

A small carnivorous plant with hinged leaves that trap insects. Green or red traps form a low rosette, with color varying by selection and light. Unlike most houseplants, it needs mineral-poor water, a wet specialist growing medium and a seasonal winter rest.
