Yukon Blue has short blue-gray needles that leave tawny stems and dark brown buds clearly visible. These contrasting details give the upright tree interest at close range as well as from a distance. Its measured growth and strong cold hardiness suit northern gardens that need a substantial evergreen accent without a very rapid growth rate.
