Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard'

Boulevard false cypress

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard'
Boulevard false cypress, photograph, not current inventory.

Silvery-blue, plume-like foliage gives Boulevard a soft appearance while its broad pyramidal outline supplies year-round structure. Somewhat open branches make an attractive background for contrasting plants. It can also be trained or sheared into a more formal specimen, so its eventual outline depends partly on how the gardener maintains it.
