This large-growing Nootka cypress carries blue-green foliage on relaxed, pendulous branches. Its upright framework and hanging sprays create a softer outline than a rigidly formal evergreen. Give it the space of a landscape tree rather than treating it as a small shrub; its long-term proportions exceed those of a young nursery specimen.
