Cercis canadensis 'Covey'

Lavender Twist redbud

Bright pink spring blossoms along a branch of Lavender Twist weeping redbud.
Cercis canadensis 'Covey' (Lavender Twist) photographed in Maryland; licensed exact-cultivar photograph, not current inventory.

Lavender Twist forms a small umbrella of cascading branches, giving the garden an architectural feature even without leaves. Magenta buds open into rosy-pink spring flowers, followed by medium-green, heart-shaped foliage. Yellow autumn leaves close the season; the final outline reflects how the young leader has been trained.
