Acer palmatum 'Twombly's Red Sentinel'
Twombly's Red Sentinel Japanese maple

Twombly's Red Sentinel brings Japanese maple color to a comparatively narrow, upright outline. Crimson new leaves deepen to burgundy, often giving the growing tree a two-tone effect. Bright red autumn foliage and dark reddish young stems extend its interest, while the initially columnar canopy becomes somewhat broader with age.
