Acer palmatum 'Mikawa yatsubusa'
Mikawa yatsubusa Japanese maple

Short spaces between buds stack the broad leaves closely together, creating the layered, shingle-like texture that makes Mikawa yatsubusa distinctive. This slow-growing Japanese maple forms a compact upright tree. Light green spring leaves deepen through summer before the dense little canopy takes on orange and red autumn colors.
