Golden-yellow flower clusters top upright stems through summer. A long-lived selection of native butterfly weed for sunny, dry borders. Leave established plants undisturbed; the deep taproot dislikes transplanting. Remove pods before they split if seedlings are unwanted. Wear gloves when handling sap.
