Grasses
Miscanthus × giganteus
Giant miscanthus

Tall canes carry arching green leaves and form a broad screen by late summer. Fluffy plumes rise above the foliage in early fall, followed by orange-tan winter color. This sterile-seeded hybrid still expands into a large clump, so give it generous sunny space and cut back dormant stems before spring growth.
