Grasses
Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'
Karl Foerster feather reed grass

Slender, upright stems carry wheat-like flower heads above green foliage from late spring onward. The narrow shape makes a useful vertical rhythm along walks or behind lower perennials, and the tan heads remain attractive into winter. This clump-forming hybrid does not reseed and starts growth early in the season.
