Fruit & harvest
- Pollination
- Fruit can develop without pollination; a second plant is not required.
Growing & care
- Care & pruning
- Grow in a container, protect from frost and avoid soggy roots. After fruiting, the mother plant declines but produces offsets that can be grown on.
- Harvest
- For best sweetness, wait until at least one-third of the shell changes from green toward yellow-green. Harvest timing depends on variety and growing conditions.
