Fruit & harvest
- Pollination
- Indoors, gently shake open flowers to transfer pollen where insects are absent. Fruit-set requirements vary by variety.
Growing & care
- Care & pruning
- Move the container inside before a hard freeze and provide bright light. Pick fully colored fruit and prune lightly after harvest.
- Size & rootstock
- Mature size depends on the variety, rootstock and container. Choose stock suited to the space available for indoor winter care.
- Harvest
- Let fruit ripen on the plant; it does not ripen further after picking. Taste is a better ripeness guide than rind color alone.
