Christmas / holiday cactus

Arching, segmented stems carry colorful flowers in the darker months. Holiday cacti are rainforest plants, so they prefer filtered light and more regular moisture than desert cacti. Short days and cool nights help initiate flower buds; protect the plant from freezing.
