Ilex vomitoria 'Schilling’s Dwarf'
Schilling’s dwarf yaupon holly
Also known as Stokes Dwarf, Schillings holly, Shilling’s Dwarf.
Schilling’s dwarf yaupon holly has small evergreen leaves and naturally compact, dense branching. These features give a bonsai a full canopy without the large, spiny leaves associated with some other hollies.
Also sold as Stokes Dwarf, this is a male selection grown for foliage and form rather than berries. Its compact leaf size provides a useful contrast to bonsai with needles or larger leaves.
