Rosa rugosa
Rugosa rose
Also known as Japanese rose, Beach rose.
Rugosa rose brings strongly textured foliage and fragrant flowers to the bonsai selection. Its wrinkled leaflets and prickly stems give it a distinctive appearance, different from many familiar bonsai species.
The species typically produces deep pink to purple pink summer flowers, followed by orange red hips. Flowers and fruit provide seasonal interest alongside branching that becomes more visible after the leaves fall.
Selection changes throughout the season. Visit or contact us for current availability.
