Escambron
Also known as Clerodendrum aculeatum, Prickly myrtle.
Escambron is a tropical shrub with small leaves, thorny branches and clusters of white flowers. The slender flower tubes and projecting stamens add delicate detail against the foliage.
Often sold under the name Clerodendrum aculeatum, it is botanically recognized as Volkameria aculeata. Its fine leaves offer a different texture from broader leaved tropical bonsai. Handle carefully around the short spines.
