Meet our bonsai
Operculicarya decaryi
Elephant tree
Also known as Jabily.
Elephant tree is a succulent tree from Madagascar with a swollen trunk, textured bark and small compound leaves. Its unusual trunk and roots give it a naturally aged appearance.
Tiny leaflets provide a delicate contrast to the heavy base. Foliage may take on copper or bronze tones, while older plants can develop increasingly knobby bark and distinctive root shapes.
